Generations before the youth of today left us a legacy of priceless hymns. If you listen to the words alone you can see what heart and feeling went into them, especially when you read the stories of the heartache and trials that birthed them forth. Over a hundred of years later, these hymns are still touching the hearts and lives of men today.
Growing up in the church I used to think that people were spiritual if they lifted up their hands during praise and worship, but I have learned now that a mere lifting up of the hands is not what the Lord seeks. He seeks a heart that follows hard after Him with the actions (or fruit) to prove it.
Praise and worship is not merely singing some songs on Sunday during church, but a life living to bring glory to God. We were born to worship Him, but worship is with the heart, mind and soul, not a bucket of emotions that will come and go. It is faithfulness to God in a consistent walk (out of a heart of love) to Him for His mercy and love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. We are to worship Him in spirit and in truth and that is a lifetime walk.
It is my prayer that God through this album will open up the windows of heaven for you and that you meet Him face to face. - Stephanie Joy
